- Visit Visa: This visa is for people staying only for a short term or those who do not yet qualify for a work or residency visa (because they are still seeking employment). Certain nationalities (see list on p.25) can get a visit visa on arrival at any entry point (land, sea or air). The procedure is fairly straightforward but the fee varies (it could be free, RO 3 or RO6, and there is no way of knowing beforehand, so take RO 6 just in case!). With more focus on tourism, the government has taken steps to streamline the procedure and make it easier for short-term visitors to enter the country.
- Work Visa: If you get a job while still in your home country, you can enter Oman on a work visa to start the job while the residency visa process is still underway.
- Residence Visa: This visa will be stamped in your passport once you arrive in Oman. All formalities are usually handled by your employer.
